Buildings

James Alfred is a professional architectural photographer who specializes in interior and exterior photography. For years he has been serving Vancouver and the lower mainland.

James had a very basic website, but it wasn't easy for him to update, and the website's visual theme had long been outdated. Overall it wasn't a strong representation of his high quality services and he wanted to grow his business. So he hired us to do a content-management-system website with a contemporary visual concept.

Process

The goal was a website that would market James' services. More was needed than simply good visuals. So we made it a goal to plan the content and architecture of the site around the users. Without re-inventing the wheel, we sought to tailor the content with the website users in mind.

James worked with us on a process of branding in which brand elements were identified. Who was the brand audience? How would they be characterized? What were they looking for?

After consulting James and walking him through a process of identifying the visual elements he wanted on his site, we planned and designed the modern visual concept which showcases his work. Once the site was built and live there was still work to be done. Analytics, link-building and SEO. Through it all we were able to provide realistic options and friendly support.

The website was built to run on Drupal. This allows James to log in and manage his site content. The site also is set up with Google Analytics which allows James to assess what is working on his site and how it might be improved. The website is responsive, mobile-friendly and it features a modern visual concept with full-screen images and modern typography. Overall the site is a clean and sharp presentation of James' professional services.
